What is your role at Homie, and how long have you been with the company? I am the Colorado Marketing Specialist, and I’ve been with Homie since April of 2021.
What initially attracted you to Homie? How long have you been in the industry? I’ve always been interested in real estate and have wanted a marketing career in the field. I’ve previously worked for a Colorado eco-friendly home builder and got a taste for real estate in that position but always wanted to do more.
What has been your biggest career accomplishment to date? My biggest career accomplishment to date is taking over our Cash Grab activation with the Rockies. There was so much work that went into it—from drafting rules and regulations, coordinating the machine and cash, writing scripts, and figuring out how to choose and pay winners, it was a lot! It was so rewarding to see it play on the jumbotron at Rockies games in front of thousands of people and seeing how much the fans enjoyed it.
What are your hobbies, interests outside of work, etc.? Outside of work I love hiking, cuddling with my frenchie Milo, watching reality tv, trying out new breweries and restaurants, and traveling.
What do you love most about working for Homie? I love that we’re disrupting an industry that desperately needs disrupting. As someone who will potentially be a first time homebuyer in the next few years and is seeing first hand how difficult it is to buy a home, I’m so excited to be a part of Homie’s mission to make homeownership easy, affordable, and accessible for all.
In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Homie? Authentic, caring, hard working, balanced, and fun!
What advice would you give someone pursuing a career in what you do? Figure out what you truly enjoy and thrive in, but also be open to learning! Marketing can mean so many different things, from data analysis to content creation, there are so many avenues you can go. Hone in on the skills you are good at, but be open to learning different aspects of marketing to make you a well-rounded marketer.
