- The State of Nevada’s CARES Housing Assistance Program (CHAP). Learn more here.

The Impact
In Clark County, more than 22,000 evictions were filed from March 2020 to May 2021 and temporarily prevented during the COVID-19 pandemic. While tens of thousands of renters are facing the risk of homelessness, thousands of homeowners and landlords are also facing the loss of their homes through foreclosures that can last well into 2022.
This issue is not just unique to Nevada. According to a study by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, as many as 9.6 million Americans owe back rent and are at risk of eviction and housing instability.
