Title: Sales and Operations Manager

We’re excited to celebrate another one of our talented team members, Wayne Graham. We are pretty lucky to have Wayne on our team, and especially grateful to have him as one of our steady leaders. We wanted to make sure that Wayne got his moment in the spotlight as this month’s Homie Highlight.

Wayne’s Background

Wayne’s experience spans far and wide; he has done over 300 deals on the MLS. From trustees, to real estate owned/foreclosures (REOs), short sales, and first time buyers, and even investors. You name it, Wayne can handle it because he’s probably helped someone with it in the past.

His journey into real estate is just as impressive. Wayne is a Navy veteran. He was stationed at Point Mugu Naval Air Station from 1987-1991 working on fighter jets. (Thank you for your service, Wayne!) After his Naval career, he went on to Graduate school, earning a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. With that, he became a teacher and later, a school administrator.

Though he enjoyed being in education, Wayne wanted a career path that offered a bit more schedule flexibility. In 2007, he made the decision to get his real estate license. He says it’s one of the best decisions he’s ever made. He realized in his past career, he was living to work.

Why Homie?

Wayne said what he loves most about working in the real estate industry is how awesome it is to help someone through one of the biggest events of their life. He loves the mental engagement it takes and the way it is always evolving.

Wayne first heard about Homie in 2018. Then he met co-founders, Johnny Hanna and Mike Peregrina. Wayne learned about the culture of Homie and knew he wanted to be part of it.

“We are changing real estate in favor of the consumer.”

When Wayne bought his first home, he realized with the traditional model, the realtor’s best interests were weighed heavily and not his own as the buyer. There was very little explanation of how the whole process works. Several years later when selling his home, Wayne said, “I later learned I left approximately $25k on the table.” Too often, you don’t know you are having that experience ‘til you gain the knowledge. We [Homie] are bringing transparency to Real Estate and giving control to the consumer.”
