Homie Highlight: Batya Cruz

As a Listing Agent for Homie’s Colorado team, Batya helps homeowners sell their homes—and saves her clients a ton of money along the way.  The Homie family is grateful to have her as a core part of our team, and we know you’ll love having her on your team!

Batya’s Background

Joining the Marine Corps at 18, Batya served as a cryptologic linguist for five years and studied Arabic at the Defense Language Institute for two years. She has held a couple of different positions since then—including parenting, home-schooling her children, and becoming an associate broker in real estate. After six years of serving as both a buyer’s and seller’s agent, Batya came across Homie and knew she had to be a part of such a mission-driven organization.

Batya and her family have lived in the countryside of southeast Denver for 10 years, and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Having a son with Autism, The Cruz family came for the school systems and stayed for the mountains. As an outdoor family, they take advantage of the mountain biking and dirt biking trails every chance they can. Batya is also an experienced actress and acts for film and television when she is not parenting, going above and beyond for her Homie clients, or finding new trails for two wheels.

Why Homie

As someone who is client-focused and always putting herself in their shoes, she struggled with the traditional commission rate that her clients were having to pay, and was drawn to Homie’s mission to disrupt the real estate industry. She joined the Homie team in Colorado in 2020 and is quickly becoming known for her ability to help clients successfully navigate the incredibly competitive and nuanced Denver market, and her superior client service.
