Homie Highlight: Lourdes Zischke

Meet Lourdes Zischke, a buyer agent for Homie Arizona who is passionate about leading her clients throughout the home buying journey. Learn more about Lourdes and why she loves working for Homie below.

What is your role at Homie and how long have you been with the company?

I’m a buyer agent for Homie and started in March of this year.

What initially attracted you to Homie?

I loved the tagline “Homie’s Got your Back” and it was reading the company’s mission statement that took it home for me.

How long have you been in the industry?

I was originally licensed in 1980 and became a full-time agent in Arizona in 2008.

What has been your biggest career accomplishment to date?

Gee, I wish I had a great, profound answer for this question! I’m really just happy that all of my clients have received exactly what they wanted in their home purchases and that they had a great experience during the transaction.

What are your hobbies, interests outside of work, etc.?

While I have never had any formal classes or training, I love to paint. Mostly acrylic because the process for oil painting takes so long to complete. I also love to play my ukulele and guitars, sing karaoke, fishing, boating, and attend any and all sporting events that my grandchildren play.

What do you love most about working for Homie?

I love the culture here! I love that I can call on any of my upper management at crazy hours and they always answer to help me with whatever I need. I love the continued education, lunch and learns, and other supplemental training provided.

I love being a part of the Homie Arizona team and knowing that my teammates always have my back and willingly fill in for a showing if I’m unable to attend. Of course, the team happy hours are great too! Most importantly, I love that my upper management (Wayne Graham and Michael Herrera) reaches out personally with supportive messages or congratulating me on something. Lastly, I love that Homie gives back to our community by volunteering at local events.

In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Homie?

Genuine. Sincere. Inspiring. Supportive. Compassionate. FUN. Innovative. Creative. Cutting Edge.

What advice would you give someone pursuing a career in what you do?

Align yourself with a great company that is supportive of your growth both professionally and personally. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your colleagues. Don’t make it about yourself first, it’s about the clients we help! “Help enough people get what they want and we’ll get what we want!”
